~Become the Inexhaustible Creativity of Life~
Life is infinitely, endlessly creative. We are not separate, or different from this fantastic, flowing energy—rather, Life moves through us; Life creates as us.
Drawing on Tibetan Buddhist practices that teach lucidity, wholeness, and view, Voice Dialog practices that allow us to enter into our own creative mindstreams, intersubjective practices that introduce a shared awareness, shamanic practices that bring us into creative participation with the imaginal world, energetic practices that reveal how we embody our identities, and several other practice streams, Dreaming is a practice that opens individuals' and groups' identities to Creativity itself. |
At its heart, Dreaming opens a creative and collaborative group-space energized by the question: "What is possible for us to do together with this Life?"
It's called 'Dreaming,' because the experience has the quality of lucidity, and dreamlike awareness. But more so, when this work goes deep, we begin to see directly how our smallest actions and orientations—conscious and unconscious— are freely creating the world around us, moment by moment. In any one session we may not touch on any of these experiences, but the practices themselves are transformative.
And it's fundamentally experiential. If you've never had a one-on-one Dreaming Session, you can schedule an introductory session using this link, or reach out for more information. |
Dreaming unearths our deepest desires, and draws them into the present.
The Basics
What is Dreaming?
Everything in your life is a reflection of your Dreaming. You are an expression of the Creative Activity of Life, and 'Dreaming' means the entirety of this activity, as well as your unique participation in it. Your Dreaming is where your Unbound Creativity intersects with the Manifest World: your life and the world that you touch and experience around you. The practice of Dreaming is a way to enter this Creativity. Read this article for more. |
Dreaming and View
Most of our life is an attempt to 'get' somewhere else, to get something else. This is a 'Mental' or 'Yogic' approach. It has been an amazingly effective way of organizing our humanity, but is at the end of its efficacy. Dreaming is Tantric, Integral. When we recognize that All is present, here, we can enter into Life and our experiences in a fundamentally more alive and effective way than we do when we try to get something out of our experience. Dreaming is Practical.
We tend towards one of two directions: either we throw ourselves into what is possible, new and exciting, but are not so good on follow-through and making things happen, or we put our noses to the grindstones, and pump away until something is done, but might simply be working mindlessly without a real sense of 'why?'. Dreaming is the practice of uniting the visionary and the practical, however we orient to them. Read this article for more. |
Working with Knots
'Knots' are places where our life doesn't flow as we'd like it to. A knot shows up between what we desire, and what we believe to be possible. As we engage with the world and life, these knots end up patterning how our life looks, bringing us our struggles and difficulties. In Dreaming, we spend time traversing the many complex strands that seem to have gotten tangled up, but at any moment the simple connection between what we desire and what is possible can pop into view. Root-Patterns
Our Root-Patterns are the fundamental ways in which we pattern ourselves, our activity in the world, and the world around us. From the perspective of our personality, they are the ways we continuously trip ourselves up, the blocks in ourselves we just can't seem to get over. From our Dreaming, even these patterns are expressions of unbound Creativity. Dreaming is uniquely effective at highlighting these Root-Patterns and bringing them to our attention, where we can work at re-shaping them to engage more skillfully as Life.
